Early Childhood & SCAP
Families with young children, ages infant- age 5, whether members of the synagogue or not, are invited to participate in the welcoming Shalom Children's Activity Program, a series of special programs throughout the year, specifically designed for their age groups and their parents, grandparents, and caregivers.
Programs include:
- Monthly Child & Family-Friendly Community Dinner & Musical Kabbalat Shabbat
- August: Splash Shabbat Pool Party
- September: Ice Cream Social & Open House
- December: Chanukah Family Activity Day
- January: Shabbat Song & Story followed by Kiddush lunch
- February: PJ Havdalah & Storytime
- March: Purim Carnival & Puppet Show
- April: Passover Family Activity Day
- May : Shabbat Dinner & Musical Shabbat

PJ Library® – Free Jewish Books
Free Jewish books for children up to age 6
Reading stories with your child is among the most powerful and nurturing early childhood learning experiences. That’s why we support PJ Library® (yes, PJ as in pajamas!), created by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and managed locally by the JCCs of Greater Boston.
This is an exciting program engaging families with children up to age twelve on a journey through books and reading. Each child you enroll in PJ Library® receives a free monthly mailing of a high-quality, age-appropriate Jewish book at no cost.
